Vetsense Abamec LV Pour-On for Cattle

Vetsense Abamec LV Pour-On is an easy-to-apply, low-volume (double strength) formula that helps control both internal and external parasites in dairy and beef cattle. It is made of Abamectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactones that is effective against abamectin-sensitive strains of parasites.

This cattle pour-on wormer is indicated for the treatment and control of adult and immature stages of gastrointestinal roundworms, including Barber’s pole worm, Small brown stomach worm, including inhibited stages, Small intestinal worm, Intestinal nematode, Stomach hair worm, Hookworm, Nodule worm, Whipworm, Thin-necked intestinal worm, Intestinal threadworm and Large lungworm.

This cattle worm and lice treatment also helps control sucking and biting lice, such as Long-nosed sucking lice, Short-nosed sucking lice, Biting lice, and Little sucking lice. It is indicated for the control of cattle ticks. When used as indicated, Vetsense abamectin pour-on for cattle aids in control of Small brown stomach worm infections, acquired up to 14 days after treatment and Lungworm infections acquired up to 28 days after treatment. It has a zero-day milk withholding period, making it suitable for lactating dairy cattle when used according to label directions.

  • Apply Vetsense cattle pour-on parasite control to the skin along the backline of the cattle.
  • The recommended dosage rate is 1mL per 20 kg bodyweight.
  • Weigh a representative sample of animals before treatment, either with scales or a weighband.
  • Base your dose rate on the heaviest cattle in each group (bulls, cows, steers, calves, etc.).
  • If there is a large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on body weight to avoid excessive overdosing.

Application Guide to 1L-pack

  • Turn the bottle upside down to fill the dosing chamber.
  • Once the chamber is filled, stand the bottle upright to level the dosage.
  • Tilt the bottle to adjust to the correct dosage.
  • Once you have the correct dosage, remove the cap.
  • Pour out the liquid.
  • Apply the cap to reseal the bottle.
